Michael Fassbender and wife Alicia Vikander were simply smitten as they left The Twenty Two in Mayfair, London, on Saturday night.
Well, this couple just had their second kid this year, and they were totally all over each other, hugging in the street while they were waiting for their car.
The Killer actor, 47, threw an arm around his Tomb Raider star wife after a posh night out with friends at the 5-star hotel.
Michael was smartly dressed in a navy long coat, which he had paired with an orange scarf, grey jeans, and white trainers.
She had on a black mini-skirt, showing some real length of her legs, while she was wearing a white-checked long-sleeved bodysuit atop.
The Jason Bourne actress totally upped the ante on her height with some black boots and threw on a long coat to stay warm.
She pulled her long, brown hair back into a neat bun behind her head and carried her things in a Louis Vuitton cross-body bag.
So, like, back in July, Alicia Vikander shared that she and Michael Fassbender had secretly welcomed their second child together. The actress, 29, was full-on stanning her co-star, telling ELLE UK that she was ‘so impressed’ by the 35-year-old Oscar winner’s physical performance in their new movie Hope-particularly since Alicia Vikander had ‘literally just had (her) second baby.’
Every woman goes through totally different stuff, and doing it a second time was definitely tougher for me, said the Swedish star.
She concluded, “But I think training made it easier. Getting through those nine months is kind of like a marathon, so it definitely helps if you’re strong going in.”
“Wow, it’s so hard, and I really look up to any woman that has gone through it.” Alicia Vikander said, ‘I’ve given birth onscreen four times and then I did it for real and all of those times I apologised to every woman on set because your job is to pretend as an actor but every time I had to give birth I told every woman on set, “I’m sorry.” I felt like such a fraud.’
Alicia Vikander did not spill further beans on the couple’s second child.
She began dating her husband Michael Fassbender back in late 2014 when they met on the sets of The Light Between Oceans.
Thus, three years later, in October 2017, Ibiza, Spain saw them getting hitched in über-romantic settings.
In September 2021, she announced that she had welcomed a baby boy with Michael in secret earlier that year.
Last year, Alicia Vikander spoke candidly to Vogue about how gruelling it was after an ‘extreme’ miscarriage before conceiving her first child.
She has talked candidly about the ‘painful’ struggles she experienced along her journey to motherhood and shared with The Times that, indeed, it did ‘take some time’ to conceive their first baby together.
“Yeah, we have a kid now, but it wasn’t easy,” she says, going on to reveal she suffered a ‘painful, extreme’ miscarriage before eventually falling pregnant with her son.
She also spoke about how her experiences were somewhat similar with her 2016 film “The Light Between Oceans,” where she and Michael played a childless couple who undergo two miscarriages before adopting this little baby girl who gets lost at sea.
It was really super intense, really tough to deal with, and of course, it brought back memories of making that movie, which, of course, means something totally different to me now. The Danish Girl star said, ‘Sometimes you go through tough stuff in life, and if you’ve got an office job, you can just take a breather for a bit.’
She’s pretty kept it on the hush about her and Michael’s kid, but in a 2022 chat with Harper’s Bazaar, Alicia Vikander got candid about being a mom, admitting she always puts her little family first.
She says, “In my small family, along with my husband and kid, we always travel together. That’s the rule. We work it out so one of us can be with the baby all the time.”
It wasn’t until the same interview that the Tomb Raider star opened up about her fertility, claiming she’d ‘struggled for a while’. She said, “I was trying to get pregnant for a bit. It was really, really tough during lockdown. I had a hard time for a while. Honestly, I didn’t think that I could get pregnant for quite some time.” She said she wanted to share her problems to help other women who are dealing with the same stuff.
